Maintenance, Upgrades and Service

2/12/2007

Replaced starboard holding tank vent.  It was clogged.

 

Replaced non-working battery charger with new Newmar triple output charger

 

Replaced VHF radio with new VHF

 

Fixed throttle control so that forward is faster

 

Pulled out old, charred wiring from previous owner.  Unused and left from previous equipment that was removed.

 

Re-ran wiring from shore-power connector to cutoff switch

 

Added weather stripping to port side seat locker.

2/2007

Added Harken MKIV, size 1 roller furling.  Headstay and two uppers were also replaced.

3/2007

Replaced impeller on water pump

March -April, /2007

Stripped bottom to previous barrier and gel coat, sanded out blisters.  Applied three coats of WestSystem 105/205 epoxy, applied another 3 coats of WestSystem 105/205 with 422 additive.

4/2007

Repaired rudder delamination.  Removed delaminated areas, filled with thickened Epoxy.

4/2007

New 200KHz/50KHz transducers installed by Berkeley Marine Center

4/2007

Old transducer removed. Thru-hull patched by Berkely Marine Center.

4/2007

Cockpit drain thru-hulls removed.  New bronze thru-hulls installed with shut-off valves.  Installed by Berkeley Marine Center.

4/2007

Two coats of primer applied to bottom with Pettit Hydrocoat Blue, performed by Berkeley Marine Center.

5/28/2007

Replaced starboard toe-rail drain.  It was leaking due to deterioration of the drain.

 

Old, shorted blower removed.  Cause of electrical problems due to shorting without in-line fuse.  New blower installed.

 

Installed depth sounder for GPS478

 

Renamed boat and added vinyl boat letter for Terrapin.

 

Installed electric bilge pump and switch.

 

Installed new FM/CD/Weather Radio with cockpit speakers.

3/2008

Added cleats for jack lines

3/2008

Pulled teak hand rails.  Sanded and applied 5 coats of lacquer

3/2008

Drilled out teak hand rail holes oversized, due to leaking found.  Filled with epoxy and re-drilled to proper size.  Mounted hand rails and sealed holes.

4/2008

Replaced holding tank line, it was clogged.  Un-clogged holding tank vent.

4/2008

Applied teak oil to all exposed teak in cabin, including head and v-berth

4/2008

Applied vinyl about 6 inches up from head floor around head to simplify cleaning and prevent water damage to teak.
